Nasco Toronto is now recruiting for audio and lighting technicians with theatre experience
Lighting Technicians
- General knowledge of concert lighting systems; hanging, cabling, focusing etc.
- Electrical knowledge: ticket helpful i.e. L.E., F.E.
- Knowledge of follow spots, bulb and gel changing, setting up operation and tweaking for optimum operation.
- Excellent communication skills; able to give and follow directions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures i.e. fall arrest, safety lines for focus and truss spots and safety cables on fixtures.
- Operation and programming of lighting systems an asset.
Audio Technicians
- Extensive experience with professional level audio systems
- Familiarity with transport, load-in, rigging and sound check of concert P.A. systems
- Hands-on experience with front of house mixing
- Hands-on experience with monitor mixin
- Hands-on experience with wireless technology
- Good communication skills
- Experience communicating with a variety of clientele on-site
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to instruct and delegate personnel
- Familiarity with safety guidelines and awareness of job-related hazards
General labourers needed in Barrie, Mississauga and Oakville
Nasco is recruiting for general labourers that either live in the Mississauga/Oakville area or drive/ can get to these locations. If you're interested in physical shift work and have a hard hat and steel-toed boots, please send us your resume.Nasco is also recruiting in Barrie and the surrounding area for a variety of positions in late July and early August. If you are physically fit and able to work long hours, have carpentry skills or a technical background in lighting/audio, we want to hear from you! Forklift and scissor lift operators with valid tickets are also encouraged to apply. A vehicle is recommended for this remote travel and a hard hat and steel-toed boots are mandatory.
